Pleasantly surprised! The formula feels super lightweight, and the brush makes it easy to reach every lash. I put it on at 10am and it stayed perfect all the way until 2am without smudging or flaking. Found my no-makeup makeup go-to!!

I don’t know why people complain about it being hard to remove. It’s waterproof so of course it’s harder to remove than regular mascara. I use an oil cleanser (skin1009 Madagascar centella light) and it comes off just fine. I put the oil cleanser directly on my lashes and coat it really well, then rub my lashes and wash off the cleanser. Then I use a q-tip soaked in the cleanser to remove any excess mascara and wash it off. I’m okay with the extra step of removing the excess mascara because it lasts all day and holds a curl really well. It also clumps up nicely to give an idol/manga style lash look. I really love the brown color, it’s a nice chocolate brown.

This mascara lengthens and holds a curl extremely well without being clumpy. The wand gets every lash and makes it look separated and so pretty. But like other reviewers have stated, this is really hard to take off. I double cleanse and use micellar water, and it doesn’t come off 100%. Really long lasting, but how do you take it off fully??

Great mascara and doesn't flake unless it gets old. Love how it coats each lash well.

*Edit: noticed a lot of reviews are about how hard it is to remove this mascara - as someone who’s used waterproof mascara for years, always use a cleansing balm to remove waterproof mascara. It’s the only way to avoid damaging and losing your eyelashes. Don’t rub your eyelashes off with makeup remover or water. There’s a cheap cleansing balm from Elf that will last you forever and won’t damage your eyelashes when trying to remove the mascara. Just use a bit and rub it on your lashes for 30 sec, wait a minute or so then wash it off.*This Romand mascara has officially replaced Heroine as my everyday mascara. I have straight thick Asian eyelashes that will never hold a curl (even a lash lift/perm cannot keep them curled).The mascara I have used with for the past 5 years is the Japanese “Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl” mascara. It was my go to and I always recommended it to my other Asian friends who have the same problem as me with regular mascaras. My only problem with it was the under eye smudging after just a few hours.This Romand mascara has lasted all throughout my 9 hour work day without smudging. My curl is still perfect, my lashes still look long and haven’t dropped at all.I never write reviews. But what convinced me to write this review was after my 9 hour work day, I went to my therapist, cried for an hour, and my mascara still looks untouched. No smudging. Lashes still look great.I thought nothing would be able to replace my heroine mascara because it was the only thing that worked with me for such a long time. Happy to say you should buy the romand mascara if you have the same problem as me :)
